Pilomat bollards are the first to be EPD-certified.
Pilomat was also the first company in the vehicle access control sector to obtain EPD certification for two bollards: the automatic hydraulic model 275/K12-900 A and its electromechanical alternative 275/K12EMB-900A, both belonging to the High Security line.
The EPD environmental certification is a voluntary environmental product declaration, recognized worldwide, which defines the resource consumption (materials, water, energy) and the environmental impacts throughout the various life-cycle stages of a specific product. With this certification, a company is able to communicate environmental information in a detailed and non-misleading way, avoiding any risk of greenwashing.

First to obtain Italian type-approval
In Italy, Pilomat bollards were the first to pass the rigorous testing procedures of the Ministry of Transport – Department for Land Transport, Directorate General for Motor Vehicles. These certifications officially authorize the installation of our bollards throughout the Italian public domain.
Beyond their national validity, these approvals also represent an important acknowledgment of our company’s reliability, technical competence, and commitment to delivering high-quality, safety-driven solutions.
